Art de combat d’inspiration japonaise mais de conception occidentale, le Nihon Tai Jitsu est une méthode moderne de défense personnelle. Il ne s’agit pas de l’addition de judo, aïkido et karaté mais d’une discipline basée sur les attaques telles qu’elles pourraient se produire dans la vie courante.
Le Nihon Tai Jitsu est une méthode française de self défense dans laquelle on envisage que la vie du pratiquant peut être mise en danger. Il faut en un minimum de temps et d’effort, obtenir un maximum d’efficacité avec le moins de risques possible.
Sur le plan pédagogique, la méthode mise au point par des professeurs d’arts martiaux doublés d’enseignants d’éducation physique est très progressive. Nous retrouvons des mouvements des arts martiaux traditionnels (frappes, luxations, strangulations et projections), mais ces mouvements ont subi des transformations pour les adapter à la défense proprement dite.
Les techniques sont classées de manière judicieuse et facile à suivre, elles peuvent être pratiquées par tous, et n’incluent pas de chutes violentes.
Le Nihon-Tai Jitsu (Self Défense) est enseigné au dojo.
